Pavel Tamm

I'm a commercial and portrait photographer based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Originally from Estonia, I moved to Scotland in 2012 and have spent the past twelve years building a practice rooted in this extraordinary city and its surroundings.

My work spans corporate portraiture, advertising campaigns, fashion editorials, architectural photography, and personal documentary projects. What connects these disciplines is an approach that prioritises authenticity, craft, and a deep respect for the subject — whether that's a CEO, a building, or a World War II veteran.

I hold Associateship of the British Institute of Professional Photography (ABIPP), and in 2017 I was awarded the Peter Grugeon Award — the highest national honour for BIPP Associateship submissions. My work has been featured on LensCulture and exhibited in Scotland and internationally.

When I'm not behind the camera, I'm usually exploring Edinburgh's architecture, walking in the Highlands, or researching my next personal project. I believe that personal work feeds commercial work — and that the best professional photography comes from genuine curiosity about people, places, and light.
